The Court of Appeal has upheld the High Court's decision that an auctioneer, who was fined €10,000 by the Property Services Regulatory Authority (PSRA) for improper conduct arising from the failure to return a booking deposit, cannot appeal the sanction after the 30-day statutory time limit set by the legislation. The court determined that the time limit is absolute and not subject to extension, affirming the original court's decision and dismissing the professional's appeal for an extension of time to challenge the PSRA's decision.
