Court of Appeal dismisses appeal and affirms finding that the appellants do not have the locus standi to seek to set aside a direction order made in 2012, whereby a bank was directed to sell its life assurance business and its subsidiaries to the Minster for Finance for the sum of €1.3 billion, on the grounds that to find otherwise would be to interpret the relevant legislation contrary to the law.
