High Court rules in favor of a cleaner who developed hand irritant contact dermatitis due to her employment conditions, including the use of inadequate gloves and exposure to strong cleaning chemicals. The court found a clear causal link between the plaintiff's injuries and the breaches of duty by the employer. The claim was not statute-barred, as the court determined the plaintiff's date of knowledge of the significance of her injury was after April 2017. The court awarded €17,500 in general damages, with agreed sums for medical and travel expenses, and will further assess loss of earnings claims.
