Stare Decisis Hibernia aims to provide a useful service to practising lawyers, law students and other people with an interest in Irish law.
Subscribers are therefore invited to add comments in relation to legal issues arising in any posts on the site.
In particular, we would encourage comments that contain the following:
a) Links to web sites or blog posts that address the relevant case or the relevant issues;
b) Links to other relevant cases;
c) References to relevant articles or books (including, where possible, page or paragraph numbers);
e) Short comment on the legal issues arising in the judgment.
Users should remember that many of the judgments arise from interlocutory applications, or are under appeal. The matters discussed may be of ongoing concern to the parties and their legal teams. In particular, please avoid any comments containing the following:
i) Personal comments about the judges, the lawyers or the parties involved in the case;
ii) Any use of foul language;
iii) Any gratuitous self-promotion or sales pitch;
iv) Any comment that might be considered defamatory or in contempt of court;
v) Any reposting of copyright material.
