High Court provides text of request to the Court of Justice of the European Union for a preliminary ruling pursuant to EU law concerning the impact, if any, on the operation of the system of European arrest warrants arising from the fact that the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has given notice of its intention to withdraw from the European Union.
European arrest warrant – European law - substantive text of the Request for Preliminary Ruling pursuant to Article 267 TFEU - questions concerning the impact, if any, on the operation of the system of European arrest warrants, arising from the fact that the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (“the United Kingdom”) has given notice under Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union (“TEU”) of its intention to withdraw from the European Union - in custody and will remain in custody until the determination of this application - objected to his surrender on the grounds that he claims that the conditions under which he would be held in Northern Ireland - relevant legal provisions - grounds for the reference - necessary to determine what effect, if any, the imminent withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union has for the operation of the European Arrest warrant system and the surrender of persons, such as the respondent, to the United Kingdom - questions referred for preliminary ruling - request to avail of the urgent preliminary ruling procedure.
