High Court, in an assessment of damages only, awards damages in the sum of €89,938.06 to a plaintiff who, following a car accident, suffered a nasal septal deviation and a dorsal hump appearance at the bridge of the nose, and was left with both cosmetic and functional issues which will continue into the future and require further surgery.
High Court - personal injuries - assessment of damages only - liability admitted - Court noted that the plaintiff’s evidence was truthful and noted that he did not overstate his claim - significant damage to plaintiff's nose - plaintiff left with various problems both cosmetic and functional and the court accepts that these difficulties are ongoing and will require further rhinoplasty surgery - plaintiff awarded general damages in the sum of €80,000 - plaintiff awarded special damages in the sum of €9,938.06
