Court of Appeal: (a) dismisses appeal against convictions of rape and sexual assault, on the grounds that additional allegations of abuse raised during the trial did not prejudice the accused in his defence; (b) allows appeal from sentences of ten years imprisonment with the final 12 months suspended in respect of two convictions of rape, on the grounds that the sentencing judge did give sufficient discount for the fact that the offender was 75 years old; and (c) substitutes a sentence of nine years imprisonment, with the last two years suspended.
