High Court awarded a financial advisor €279,191, to include general damages of €123,500, for multiple injuries, including a serious leg fracture, lower back pain, chest injuries, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), following a road traffic accident. The plaintiff had made a substantial recovery from the leg injury but continued to suffer from lower back pain and PTSD, with the court finding that these conditions were caused by the accident. The award included past and future special damages, with the court applying the Personal Injuries Guidelines to assess the appropriate compensation for each injury and ensuring the overall award was fair and proportionate.
