High Court awards €233,486 arising from a patron's slip and fall injury, which occurred while she was dancing at a social event, where the hotel had failed to implement a reasonable system to prevent and address drink spillages on the dance floor, leading to the patron fracturing her right wrist, resulting in chronic pain and disability that impacted her ability to work and her quality of life. The court awarded damages for the injury, loss of earnings, and other related losses, after applying a 20% reduction for uncertainties regarding the plaintiff's continued employment had the injury not occurred.
