High Court refuses applications to file affidavits by amici curiae ("friends of the court"), who had been joined to an action concerning the transfer of data by an online social network from the European Union to the United States, on the grounds that there was no need to depart from the normal rule that amici curiae should not adduce evidence but were required to assist the court based on the evidence of the parties.
