High Court refuses to cancel directions by the Professional Conduct Committee of CORU (the professional regulator of social workers) to suspend a social worker for periods of nine months and 12 months arising from findings of professional misconduct, on the grounds that: (a) the social worker had failed to comply with the disciplinary process; (b) no bias had been established on the part of any of the decision makers involved in the process; (c) the social worker had made serious allegations against certain persons, then failed to provide sufficient information for an investigation to be carried out; and (d) the penalty imposed was proportionate.
