Court of Appeal dismisses appeal against sentence for manslaughter, on the grounds that: (a) the sentencing judge correctly assessed the gravity of the case; (b) there was no error in principle in not suspending any part of the sentence; (c) the sentencing judge had correctly treated the appellant as though he had pleaded guilty at the outset; (d) all of the mitigating factors were taken into account by the sentencing judge; and (e) there was no error in considering the use of a knife an aggravating factor.
