Court of Appeal dismisses appeal against severity of sentence of three and a half years’ imprisonment, with the final eighteen months suspended, imposed for an assault which meant the victim lost sight in one eye, and increases the suspended portion of the sentence to two years, on the grounds that the sentencing judge ought to have made a further allowance especially in respect of his youth.
