The Supreme Court has refused an application by a shareholder in the plaintiff company for electronic recordings and transcripts of court proceedings at public expense, related to a dispute over the School Transport Scheme operated by Bus Éireann. The original case, which challenged the Scheme's compliance with EU public procurement law, was unsuccessful at the High Court and subsequently at the Court of Appeal. The Supreme Court upheld the refusal of leave to appeal, and the latest application, based on suspicions of fraud without evidence, was deemed an abuse of process and not in the interests of justice.
