High Court refuses judicial review of the decision by the Minister for Foreign Affairs to refuse a passport to a child born in the State in 2019, on the grounds that the child's mother had the benefit of subsidiary protection, which was renewable every three years, and there was thus a restriction on her residence such that the child was not entitled to Irish citizenship.
Judicial review - refusal of passport - applicant born in State in 2019 - mother had declaration of subsidiary protection - s. 6A(2)(d)(i) of the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act 1956 - whether mother's entitlement to reside in the state had any restriction.
