High Court grants an order committing a Ukrainian national to prison to await the order of the Minister for Justice for his extradition to the United States of America to stand trial on conspiracy charges arising from the alleged deployment of malicious software, or ‘ransomware’, against a government entity and two businesses, on the grounds that the extradition would not breach his right to family life, expose him to inhuman treatment, or constitute a flagrant denial of justice. Claims of abuse of process and political motivations behind the extradition were also dismissed.
