The High Court awarded a corporate conference manager €110,721 in damages following a workplace accident that resulted in significant back injuries and impacted his ability to work. The plaintiff's employment history and attempts to return to work post-accident were considered, along with the medical evidence indicating ongoing symptoms and the need for further treatment. The award included general damages, past and future loss of earnings, and medical expenses. The judgment also directed that the decree be entered against the second defendant only, with costs adjudicated in default of agreement and the proceedings against the first defendant struck out with no further order.
