The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal from the Court of Appeal, and affirmed a conviction in the Circuit Court for possession of drugs worth over €137,000 with intent to supply, where the drugs were found in a vehicle that was detained because it was untaxed and the driver was uninsured, on the grounds that the search of the vehicle in the circumstances was lawful.
